A total of sixty-one (61) Junior High Schools, with 1,829 candidates, participated in the examination. Out of the total number, 918 candidates were boys and 911 were girls, while five candidates were absent.

The Tano South Municipal Director of Education, Mrs. Agnes Amihere, officials of the Tano South Municipal Assembly, and staff of the Municipal Directorate of Education accompanied Hon. Emmanuel Kwame Frimpong on visits to the three examination centres at Bechem, Techimantia, and Derma, where they interacted with candidates, invigilators, and supervisors.

Addressing the candidates, Hon. Emmanuel Kwame Frimpong conveyed greetings and a message of goodwill from the President, H.E. John Dramani Mahama, and the Member of Parliament for Tano South, Hon. Charles Asiedu. He urged the candidates to remain focused, emphasising that the outcome of the examination would play a crucial role in shaping their future educational pursuits.

Hon. Frimpong assured the candidates that the examination was within their capabilities and consistent with what they had been taught throughout their years of schooling. He encouraged them to approach the examination with seriousness and confidence, drawing strength from the preparation given by their teachers.

In his closing remarks, Hon. Frimpong made a strong appeal to the candidates to desist from all forms of examination malpractice, urging them to rely on their own preparation rather than seeking external assistance. He also announced that the Member of Parliament, Hon. Charles Asiedu, had provided examination materials for distribution to the candidates, as well as transportation support for those travelling long distances to the examination centres.

In a brief but inspiring address, the Tano South Municipal Director of Education, Mrs. Agnes Amihere, congratulated the candidates on reaching the BECE stage after nine years of academic preparation. She encouraged them to do their best, reject examination malpractice, and remain committed to integrity.

Mrs. Amihere concluded by offering practical examination tips, including careful reading of questions and effective time management. She urged the candidates to remain calm and focused throughout the examination period and wished them success, challenging them to make their families, teachers, and Ghana proud through their performance.
