The event brought together the Volta Regional Minister, Hon. James Gunu, the Member of Parliament for the area, Hon. Frank Afriyie, and the District Chief Executive, Hon. Manfred Tawiah, as well as traditional authorities and residents, all united in a shared vision of development and progress.
In the education sector, several classroom blocks are under construction at Kpeve Old Town, Goviefe Agordome, Woadze Tsatoe, and Lomnava Nyive/Hove to reduce congestion and improve the quality of teaching and learning. A modern kindergarten block with ancillary facilities is also being developed at Logba Horglikope to support early childhood education.
The district’s healthcare delivery is also set to receive a major boost with the construction of a fully equipped CHPS compound with nurses’ quarters at Agate, which will bring essential health services, including maternal and child care, closer to residents.
Key road projects, including the Kpeve–Goviefe Todzi Road, Nyangbo Konda Road, Logba Alakpeti–Klikpo Road, and Logba Vuinta–Leklebi Dafor Road, are expected to significantly improve connectivity, facilitate movement, and stimulate economic activities within the district.
Efforts are also underway to address water challenges through the drilling and installation of 30 mechanised boreholes across communities, while steps are being taken to resolve the water crisis in Ve-Golokuati and improve telecommunication network coverage.
These interventions are expected to bring meaningful relief to residents, particularly by improving access to essential services and enhancing living conditions. The initiative reflects government’s continued commitment to equitable development and improved livelihoods across Afadjato South District.
