The training, held at Emmanuel Church near the former Office of the Member of Parliament, formed part of the Assembly's Local Economic Development (LED) Initiative aimed at promoting self-employment and improving livelihoods.

Participants received practical instruction in the production of liquid soap and bleach, acquiring hands-on skills that could help them establish small-scale businesses and generate sustainable income.

The session, facilitated by the Municipal Officer for National Culture, guided participants through every stage of the production process, including measuring, mixing, packaging and applying safe manufacturing practices to ensure quality household cleaning products.

By the end of the training, each participant had successfully produced liquid soap and bleach, leaving with both finished products and the technical knowledge needed to venture into detergent production as a source of livelihood.
