Kwahu Afram Plains North DCE Inspects School Project, Donates Solar Street Lights to Avukope/Kpatsa

The District Chief Executive (DCE) for the Kwahu Afram Plains North District, Hon. Kate Mawusi Babanawo, has reaffirmed her commitment to people-centred governance by embarking on a working visit to the Avukope/Kpatsa community to engage residents, inspect ongoing development projects, and deliver interventions aimed at improving education and community safety.

The visit formed part of the Assembly's efforts to promote inclusive development and strengthen collaboration with communities in identifying and addressing their priority needs.

Hon. Babanawo began the visit with a stakeholder engagement involving opinion leaders, elders, and community members, where she listened to their concerns, discussed key developmental challenges, and provided updates on ongoing and planned Assembly projects.

She emphasized that meaningful and sustainable development can only be achieved through continuous dialogue and partnership between local authorities and the people they serve.

As part of the visit, the DCE inspected the construction of an ongoing six-unit classroom block in the community, expressing satisfaction with the progress of work.

She reiterated the Assembly's commitment to completing the project on schedule, stressing that providing modern educational infrastructure remains central to improving learning outcomes and creating a conducive environment for pupils.

"Education is one of the pillars of our development agenda. Every child deserves a safe and comfortable place to learn and achieve their full potential," she stated.

In a further demonstration of the Assembly's commitment to improving community welfare, Hon. Babanawo presented four giant solar-powered street lights to the Avukope/Kpatsa community.

She explained that the installation of the street lights would improve visibility at night, strengthen security, and provide a safer environment for residents, particularly schoolchildren and students who study during the evening hours.

The beneficiary community expressed appreciation to the District Chief Executive for the interventions, describing them as timely investments that would improve education, security, and the overall quality of life.

Hon. Babanawo reaffirmed her resolve to ensure that every community in the district benefits from impactful development projects, adding that the Assembly remains focused on implementing initiatives that improve livelihoods and accelerate socio-economic development.

She urged residents to continue supporting the Assembly's development agenda, emphasizing that collective effort and community participation remain essential to building a prosperous Kwahu Afram Plains North District.

The visit underscores the Assembly's continued commitment to delivering responsive leadership and implementing development projects that directly improve the lives of the people.
