Eastern Regional Coordinating Director Visits Okere District Assembly to Strengthen Public Service Delivery

The visit brought together the District Coordinating Director, Heads of Department, and staff of the Assembly for discussions on strategies to enhance administrative efficiency, accountability, and service delivery.
During the engagement, the Regional Coordinating Director assessed the Assembly's administrative operations, reviewed ongoing development initiatives, and held discussions on key challenges and opportunities aimed at improving institutional effectiveness and accelerating development within the district.
Addressing staff, the Regional Coordinating Director commended the Assembly's workforce for their dedication and hard work, urging them to maintain high standards of professionalism, teamwork, integrity, and excellence in the discharge of their duties. He emphasized that a committed and efficient public service is essential to achieving the government's decentralization and local governance objectives.
The engagement also provided a platform for sharing ideas on strengthening collaboration between the Eastern Regional Coordinating Council and the Okere District Assembly to ensure efficient implementation of government programmes and improved service delivery to residents.
The Okere District Assembly reaffirmed its commitment to implementing the recommendations that emerged from the visit and pledged to continue working closely with the Eastern Regional Coordinating Council to promote sustainable development, strengthen institutional capacity, and improve the socio-economic well-being of the people of the district.
The working visit forms part of ongoing efforts by the Eastern Regional Coordinating Council to monitor the performance of Metropolitan, Municipal and District Assemblies (MMDAs) and support them in delivering efficient, transparent, and people-centred public services.
