The ceremony brought together the Municipal Chief Executive, the Municipal Coordinating Director, management staff of the Assembly, Assembly Members, traditional authorities, and residents from the Kwashieman, Odorkor, and Akwei Bu Electoral Areas, demonstrating broad stakeholder support for the initiatives.
In his address, the Municipal Chief Executive stressed the importance of promoting local employment, urging contractors to prioritize engaging community youth in the execution of the projects. He noted that beyond infrastructure development, the Assembly is focused on creating sustainable income opportunities and empowering young people within the municipality.
The borehole projects are expected to enhance access to potable water, while the classroom block will improve teaching and learning conditions at McClean Basic School. The poultry farm project at Wesley Grammar Senior High School is also anticipated to support food security efforts and provide practical agricultural training opportunities for students.
The Phase Two sod-cutting ceremony reflects the Assembly’s continued commitment to advancing infrastructure, strengthening education, promoting food security, and empowering youth across Ablekuma North.
