The initiative is aimed at making funding readily available to needy students as part of efforts to expand access to quality education and support parents in educating their children.

Speaking at the launch, Mr. Forkuo described the event as a defining moment in the constituency’s educational journey, stressing the transformative role of education in shaping lives and communities.

He noted that every child in Manso Nkwanta deserved access to quality education regardless of a socio-economic background.

“Education is not merely about certificates. It is about empowerment. It is about unlocking potential, shaping character, building confidence, and equipping our people with the skills and values required to contribute meaningfully to society,” he said.

Mr. Forkuo added that communities that deliberately invested in education secured long-term prosperity, stability and leadership, while those that neglected it faced lost opportunities, unemployment and social vulnerability.

He observed that many students in the constituency faced financial challenges that hindered their academic progress.

“Some students defer admission year after year. Some drop out midway through their programmes. Others struggle silently, burdened by fees, accommodation costs, and basic living expenses. This scholarship scheme is our response to that reality,” he stated.

He explained that the scheme prioritises tertiary students, offering financial assistance to cover tuition and essential academic expenses.

Mr. Forkuo expressed the hope that beneficiaries would excel academically while upholding discipline, integrity and service, and become proud ambassadors of the Manso Nkwanta constituency.
