The DCE affirmed that Mr Collins Dauda's hard work over the years has seen development spread across the various communities including good roads, extension of potable water, extension of electricity among other social amenities.
"I don't have problems with roads because Hon. Collins Dauda has done well with the roads leaving few communities that have to be fixed. Same with light as he ensured electricity is extended to all the communities, so in terms of light, potable water and other developments we don't have problems, my MP, Hon.Collins Dauda has done all the work for me".
Their major challenge however, is sanitation management, adding that since Zoomlion's contract was cancelled they have just few Assembly staff doing the cleaning compared to 110 employees under Zoomlion.
To avert the situation, he said the Assembly is considering recruiting additional staff to augment the existing one.
Additionally, the regular monthly cleanup exercise is receiving the desired patronage from residents and that will go a long way to ensure sustained clean environment in the district.
Legacy projects
The DCE disclosed that serious attention is also being paid to legacy projects, adding that out ten of those projects three including a 3-unit classroom block, 6-unit classroom block and a CHPS compound have already been completed and in use.
Work, he stated is progressing on the remaining seven projects and in due course they will also be completed and made available for use by the beneficiary communities.
Meanwhile, the necessary processes are ongoing for the commencement of new projects under the District Assemblies Common Fund in line with guidelines from the presidency.
