The initiative forms part of the Assembly’s efforts to improve the living standards of PWDs and their families by providing them with resources to establish or expand income-generating activities.

Mr Joshua Adey, Representative of the National Chairperson for PWDs, expressed appreciation to the Government, the Municipal Chief Executive and the Assembly for the support.

He urged the beneficiaries to put the items to productive use and invest proceeds from their businesses to ensure sustainable growth and improve the welfare of their households.

The Member of Parliament for Bortianor-Ngleshie Amanfrom also advised the beneficiaries to make effective use of the items provided by engaging in sustainable income-generating activities to reduce the financial burden on their families.

Hon. Isaac Awuku Yibor, Member of Parliament for Obom-Ashalaja, encouraged the beneficiaries to remain committed and diligent in managing their businesses.

He said proper management of the resources provided would help create opportunities for further support and improve the beneficiaries’ livelihoods.
