Kintampo North Gets Development Boost as Major Projects Undergo Inspection

The Kintampo North Municipality in the Bono East Region is witnessing a major push in development infrastructure, as several key projects undergo inspection to ensure quality, progress and timely completion.

The inspection formed part of a broader tour of development projects across the Bono East Region, with attention focused on projects expected to improve education, healthcare, agriculture, commerce and opportunities for residents.

Among the projects inspected was the construction of a CHPS Compound with residential accommodation at Kandige, aimed at strengthening access to healthcare services within the community.

The tour also covered a 3-unit Kindergarten classroom block with an office, store and toilet facility at Busuama, as well as the construction of a 24-hour Economy Market at Kyeremankuma, which is expected to support local economic activities.

At Gulumpe Basic School, the inspection team assessed the construction of a 6-unit classroom block with toilet facilities and teachers’ quarters, while at the College of Health, Kintampo, attention was given to the construction of a 300-capacity, 4-storey hostel block.

The inspection further covered the construction of a Farmer Service Centre, highlighting the government’s focus on supporting agriculture and improving services available to farmers.

The tour provided an opportunity to assess the progress of the various projects, interact with project teams and stress the importance of quality construction, adherence to timelines and value for money.

The projects form part of the government’s broader Resetting the Agenda programme, with emphasis on improving infrastructure and expanding opportunities for communities across the Bono East Region.

The inspection reaffirmed the government’s commitment, as expressed by President John Dramani Mahama, to advancing development projects that respond to the needs of the people and contribute to the growth of the region.
