The donation, which took place at the Department of Agriculture office in Dambai, aimed to provide relief to vulnerable widows facing financial hardship.  

Each widow received a 25kg bag of rice, bringing joy and relief to the beneficiaries.   

Mr. Safo Nketia emphasized the importance of supporting widows, particularly those struggling with poverty after the loss of their husbands.   

“It is our duty as a society to show them compassion and provide assistance” he added.  

The beneficiaries expressed gratitude for the gesture, with some describing it as a major relief.   

Madam Alimatu Abdulai Adam from Dambai old town said the donation was a significant help, while 58-year-old Madam Faustina Amidu described it as invaluable.
