The Member of Parliament for Chereponi, Hon. Alhassan Seidu Alajor, has attributed the district's recent development gains to the prevailing peace and stability among residents, describing social cohesion as the bedrock of progress and sustainable development.

According to the MP, the restoration and maintenance of peace have created an enabling environment for government and development partners to undertake critical infrastructure projects aimed at improving the living conditions of the people.

He noted that several communities across the district have benefited from key interventions, including the construction of new classroom blocks to enhance access to quality education, the renovation of a girls' dormitory to improve accommodation facilities for female students, and the refurbishment of the District Agriculture Office bungalow to strengthen agricultural service delivery.

In addition, a number of communities have received mechanised boreholes to improve access to safe and potable drinking water, addressing one of the longstanding challenges confronting residents.

Hon. Alajor emphasized that the visible development being witnessed across the district demonstrates the invaluable role peace plays in fostering growth and improving livelihoods.

He therefore called on residents to continue to uphold the spirit of unity, tolerance and peaceful coexistence, stressing that sustained peace remains essential to attracting further investments and accelerating the district's socio-economic transformation.
