Ejisu Assembly Members Bar MCE from Second Ordinary General Meeting

Tensions between members of the Ejisu Municipal Assembly and the Municipal Chief Executive (MCE), Jerryne Asante, have escalated, with assembly members taking a firmer stance to press home their demands.

According to the Presiding Member, Hon. Helena Mensah, aggrieved assembly members unanimously barred the MCE from participating in the Second Ordinary General Meeting of the Third Session of the Ninth Assembly, held on 29th October 2026 at the assembly hall in Ejisu, amid growing administrative tensions.

In a related development, the MCE was also barred from the Executive Committee meeting held on 27th October 2026, ahead of the general assembly meeting. In his stead, the Municipal Coordinating Director, Joseph K. Baah-Darkoh, participated in both meetings.

Meanwhile, the 2027 Action Plan and the Fee-Fixing Resolution were adopted as working documents for the assembly.
