Akatsi North DCE Leads Commissioning of Five Educational Projects

The Akatsi North District Assembly in the Volta Region, under the leadership of the District Chief Executive (DCE), Hon. Bless Kodjo Katamani has commissioned five newly completed educational infrastructure projects across the district, marking a significant milestone in efforts to improve teaching and learning conditions.

The projects, commissioned on Thursday, September 17, 2026, include:

Kpegbadza Basic School – Two-unit KG block with ancillary facilities.

Nyitawuta D/A Basic School – Three-unit JHS block with ancillary facilities.

Avevoe D/A Basic School – Three-unit classroom block with ancillary facilities.

Hadave D/A Basic School – Three-unit classroom block with ancillary facilities.

Ashiagborvi D/A Basic School – Three-unit JHS block with ancillary facilities.

The projects form part of the Assembly’s efforts to address infrastructure gaps and provide pupils and teachers with safe, improved and conducive environments for effective teaching and learning.

The District Chief Executive Hon. Bless Kodjo Katamani played a key role in championing the development and completion of the projects, working with the relevant stakeholders to ensure that educational infrastructure remains a priority in the district.

The DCE reaffirmed the Assembly’s commitment to supporting quality education by providing the infrastructure needed to improve learning outcomes and create better opportunities for children across Akatsi North District.

The commissioning programme was attended by the District Director of Education, Mr. John Badzi; Presiding Member of the Assembly, Hon. Patrick Kwame Ahiabu; traditional leaders; Assembly Members; and staff of the District Assembly and Ghana Education Service (GES).

The Assembly expressed appreciation to the Government, Member of Parliament, traditional authorities, contractors, education stakeholders and all individuals and organisations whose contributions supported the successful completion of the projects.

The commissioning of the five projects demonstrates the Assembly’s continued commitment to expanding educational infrastructure and improving access to quality education across Akatsi North District.

Together, Akatsi North remains committed to building the district and transforming lives.
