The exercise, which was held  brought attention to the importance of community participation in maintaining clean and healthy surroundings. It formed part of the Assembly's ongoing efforts to strengthen sanitation practices and encourage residents to take responsibility for the cleanliness of their communities.

During the exercise, the DCE joined residents and other participants in carrying out sanitation activities aimed at improving environmental conditions within the community. The exercise also provided an opportunity to engage residents on the need to adopt proper waste disposal practices and maintain clean surroundings.

Hon. Isaac Nsiah emphasised the importance of collective responsibility in addressing sanitation challenges, noting that maintaining a clean environment should not be left to the District Assembly alone. He encouraged residents to make regular cleaning activities part of their daily routines and actively participate in community sanitation programmes.

He further urged households, traders and other community members to avoid indiscriminate dumping of refuse and ensure that their immediate surroundings remained clean.

The exercise highlighted the Assembly's commitment to promoting environmental health and preventing sanitation-related challenges that could affect the well-being of residents.

The Upper Denkyira West District Assembly continues to encourage community involvement in sanitation activities as part of its broader efforts to improve public health, environmental cleanliness and living conditions across the district.
