The exercise was led by the District Chief Executive (DCE), Hon. Ibrahim Adams, with the participation of Assembly staff and community members.

Participants desilted choked gutters, swept streets, cleared refuse dumps and weeded overgrown areas within the central business district and other parts of the town.

Speaking after the exercise, Hon. Ibrahim Adams commended the Assembly staff and community members for their active participation and commitment to keeping the town clean.

He stressed that maintaining a clean and healthy environment was a shared responsibility and urged residents to regularly clean their surroundings to prevent the spread of communicable diseases, particularly as the rainy season approaches.

The DCE further assured residents that the Assembly would continue to organise periodic clean-up exercises to improve sanitation and safeguard the health and well-being of people in the district.
