The exercise brought together residents and Assembly officials to undertake various sanitation activities aimed at improving cleanliness and promoting a healthier environment in the communities.

Activities carried out during the exercise included sweeping streets, clearing choked gutters and removing weeds from public spaces. The activities were intended to improve drainage, reduce the risk of flooding and create a cleaner environment for residents.

Zoomlion Ghana Limited supported the exercise with waste disposal services to ensure that refuse collected during the clean-up was properly handled.

The participation of residents and local officials highlighted the importance of community involvement in maintaining environmental cleanliness and promoting responsible sanitation practices.

The initiative forms part of efforts to address sanitation challenges in the district and encourage residents to take greater responsibility for the cleanliness of their surroundings.

The Assembly is expected to continue promoting community participation in sanitation activities as part of its broader efforts to protect public health and improve living conditions across Abura-Asebu-Kwamankese.

Residents are encouraged to maintain clean surroundings, dispose of waste properly and avoid practices that obstruct drainage systems.
