Demonstrating leadership by example, Hon. Fummey joined in efforts to promote cleanliness before engaging the market women in an interaction focused on orderliness and development within the market space.

Addressing the traders, the MCE explained that the current structures serving as the market are temporary. He therefore pleaded with them to desist from putting up containers and other unauthorized structures at unapproved locations. According to him, such practices could disrupt planned development efforts for the area.

Hon. Fummey further disclosed that H.E. John Dramani Mahama has promised to construct an ultra-modern 24-hour market for the traders. He assured them that when completed, the new market facility would fairly accommodate all traders currently operating in the area.

The MCE also emphasized the importance of maintaining cleanliness at the market. He urged the traders to ensure that the market environment is kept clean before and after selling their goods and encouraged them to properly dispose of waste by putting rubbish into designated dustbins.

He reiterated that sanitation and cooperation from the traders would help create a more conducive business environment while paving the way for the realization of the modern market project.
