Assembly holds emergency PHEC meeting on omicron virus
The Sekyere Central District Assembly has held a Public Health Emergency Committee meeting on the newly discovered Omicron virus, a variant of the deadly Coronavirus and possible means to prevent the spread of the variant in the District.

Speaking at the meeting, the District Chief Executive (DCE) of the area, Mr Benjamin Kingsley Koduah called on the committee members and all stakeholders to embark on Public Education on preventive measures in the markets, communities, lorry stations and all other public places and also ensure that all the covid-19 safety protocols are strictly adhered to.
He thanked the committee for attending and promised to provide all the needed assistance to the taskforce to ensure the fight against the COVID-19 pandemic in the District is successful.
The meeting was well attended by members of PHEC made up of the Health directorate, Information service, NCCE, Ambulance service, Police, NADMO, GES, National Security and units and departments of the Assembly.
