The collapse of the bridge disrupted transportation and slowed economic activities in the area, causing inconvenience to residents, traders and motorists using the route.

However, emergency intervention works carried out by the Ministry of Roads and Highways, the Mampong Municipal Assembly (MCE) led by Mr. Yakubu Yussif, and the Ashanti Regional Coordinating Council have restored traffic flow on the road.

Residents have commended the authorities for the swift response and appealed for regular maintenance of roads and bridges to prevent similar incidents in the future.
