A three-unit classroom block was inaugurated at Okatakyie Agyeman Kodom M/A Basic School in the Breman community. The chairperson for the occasion was Nana Ama Fabea, the Twefohemaa of Breman.

In his remarks, the MP urged pupils of the school to study hard and take their education seriously. He told them that one day, when he is no longer the MP for Nkoranza South, they could replace him—but only through hard work and determination.

Hon. Agyekum stressed that if they learn diligently, they will be able to rub shoulders with their peers wherever they find themselves. He added that if they become politicians in the future, they will not be lazing around seeking support elsewhere. He encouraged them to work hard and lift the image of Nkoranza when they get the opportunity.

The MP also noted that Nkoranza requires significant development, and the pupils must learn hard so that they can one day bring development to the area.

Miss Theresa Kebu, the Municipal Director of Education, seized the opportunity to thank the President of the Republic of Ghana, John Dramani Mahama, and all stakeholders involved for prioritising educational infrastructure development in the country, particularly in Nkoranza Municipality.

She also thanked the MP, the MCE, and all other stakeholders for their efforts and collaboration toward this achievement. She said the commissioning of the school block came at the right time, as it would decongest classrooms, improve teaching and learning, and provide a better environment for students.

She urged teachers to give their best in helping pupils achieve their goals, noting that infrastructure alone cannot help students unless teachers put in the necessary effort. She advised them to be serious in their work and to monitor and supervise the pupils in all their activities.

At M’Akyinimabre Community, a CHPS compound and a nurses’ quarters were commissioned. Community members expressed their happiness and thanked the MP and the MCE for their support. They assured the MCE that the facility would be put to good use.
