This innovative training is designed to strengthen their capacity to effectively mobilize community support for key development initiatives, focusing on revenue generation, improved sanitation, and fostering a deeper understanding of the Assembly’s role in local governance.

Addressing participants, Mr. Banini emphasized that the workshop will equip them with the essential skills, knowledge, and image needed to advance good governance within the municipality. He highlighted decentralization as the future of political governance in Ghana and stressed the importance of taking proactive, pragmatic steps now to prepare local leaders for this evolving landscape.

“Decentralization is not just a policy but a pathway to inclusive and efficient governance,” Mr. Banini said. “This training is a vital step towards preparing our local leaders to meet future challenges head-on.”

The MCE again noted that this program is not just about earning certificates; the real value lies in applying the skills learned to engage stakeholders and enhance daily administrative functions across the municipality.

The workshop reflects Awutu Senya East Assembly’s commitment to building strong, capable local leadership that can drive sustainable development and improve the lives of its communities.
