She said the church had played a vital role in advancing development across local communities, particularly in the areas of health, education and sanitation, and expressed the Assembly’s appreciation for its continued support.

Ms Gyamfi made the remarks in a speech read on her behalf by Mr. Clement Joshua Bilasoor, an Assistant Director at the Wenchi Municipal Assembly, during the closing session of the 2026 Annual Camp Meeting of the SDA Church in Wenchi.

Held under the theme, “Integrated for Mission: Grounded in the Bible and Focused on the Mission,” the meeting brought together pastors, elders and members of the church from Banda, Nsawkaw, Wenchi East and Wenchi West, under the Midwest Ghana Conference of the SDA Church.

Ms Gyamfi also praised the church for its commitment to nurturing discipline and godly values among the youth, noting that such efforts were essential to shaping responsible and productive members of society.

The President of the Midwest Ghana Conference of the SDA Church, Pastor Maxwell Obour Awuah, urged Christians not to compromise their faith in the face of rapid technological advancement and the growing influence of new media.

He encouraged members to use digital platforms responsibly and productively to spread the gospel while avoiding practices that could undermine their faith and Christian values.
