The DCE also cut the sod for the construction of a six-unit classroom block with ancillary facilities at the Osino Presbyterian Basic School as part of efforts to improve access to quality healthcare and education in the district.

In addition, two mechanised boreholes equipped with water reservoirs were commissioned to provide safe and reliable water supply to Osino Secondary School and the wider Osino community.

The provision of water to the secondary school is expected to address a long-standing challenge that required students to cross the busy highway in search of water, exposing them to potential road accidents.

Hon. Korang said the projects were important investments in healthcare, education and the well-being of residents, stressing that access to basic healthcare, decent learning environments and safe drinking water should be treated as essential rights rather than privileges.

She expressed appreciation to the Chief of Osino, Osabarima Otu Darko IV, who was represented at the ceremony by his Tufohemaa, Ama Gyapomaa Baffour Bonti, as well as the traditional elders, linguists, Gyasehene and members of the palace for their support.

The DCE also acknowledged the contribution of elders of the Zongo community towards the successful implementation of the projects.

She further thanked the District Education Director, Hon. Richard A. Akosah Addo, Assembly Members, Honourable Members and party executives for their participation and support throughout the activities.
