The initiative is aimed at providing beneficiaries with the necessary resources to enhance their economic independence, improve their living conditions and promote their overall well-being.

Addressing the beneficiaries, the MCE, Hon. Frank Nkansah, urged them to make prudent and responsible use of the items and support received, stressing the need to utilise the assistance for its intended purpose.

He encouraged the beneficiaries to channel the support towards activities that would improve their livelihoods, facilitate their daily activities and contribute to their personal and economic development.

The Assembly reaffirmed its commitment to promoting inclusive governance, social protection and equal opportunities through the effective implementation of initiatives such as the Disability Common Fund and further emphasised the need to build a municipality where persons with disabilities are supported, empowered and afforded the opportunity to live with dignity.
