In addition to the waste containers, the Authority also presented exercise books and mathematical sets to selected schools in the area. Beneficiary schools included the Nkonya Ntsumuru Evangelical Presbyterian Primary and Junior High School and the Bowiri Kwame-Krom D/A Primary School.

The donation followed a request by the District Chief Executive (DCE) for Biakoye, Mr. Eric Kwaku Opong, as part of efforts to improve sanitation and support education in the district.

Leading the VRA delegation, Mrs. Rhoda Arthur reaffirmed the Authority’s commitment to promoting a clean and healthy environment in communities where it operates.

Receiving the items, Mr. Eric Kwaku Opong expressed appreciation to the VRA and assured that the waste containers would be put to effective use to improve waste management within the district and its surrounding communities.

The donation forms part of the VRA’s broader community development initiatives aimed at supporting local authorities in addressing environmental and educational needs.

The Biakoye District Assembly commended the gesture, noting that it aligns with its waste management and sanitation goals.
