The affected persons include displaced families, residents whose homes and properties were damaged, and others who suffered various flood-related losses.

The Member of Parliament for Ketu North, Mr. Eric Edem Agbana, described the situation as distressing and expressed solidarity with the affected households.

“We continue to work closely with NADMO and all relevant stakeholders to coordinate relief efforts and provide support to those in need,” he stated.

Mr. Agbana disclosed that additional relief items would be distributed to some of the verified victims over the weekend as part of ongoing interventions aimed at easing their plight.

He also expressed concern over the extensive damage caused to farmlands, revealing that several hectares had been submerged by floodwaters, thereby threatening livelihoods and food security within the municipality.

According to him, engagements are underway with the Ministry of Food and Agriculture to explore practical measures to support affected farmers and facilitate the restoration of agricultural activities.

The MP commended the Municipal Chief Executive, Rev. Martin Amenaki, NADMO officials, traditional authorities, and residents of the affected communities for their cooperation and support during the crisis.

“We will continue to stand with every affected family and work with all relevant agencies until full recovery is achieved,” Mr Agbana assured.
