The inspection team, which included the Assembly Engineer, officials from the Urban Roads Department, Assembly staff, project consultants, and supervisors from Rango Construction, assessed work on the project and identified challenges affecting its execution.

During the exercise, it was observed that some structures and buildings had encroached on the designated road reservation, posing a threat to the smooth implementation and scheduled completion of the second phase of the project, which is expected to be handed over later this year.

After consultations with stakeholders, it was agreed that all structures found to have been erected within the road reserve would be demolished in accordance with the law to facilitate the successful completion of the project.

Hon. Owusu Ansah reaffirmed the Assembly’s commitment to ensuring the timely delivery of the interchange, noting that the project will enhance transportation and benefit residents, businesses, and road users across the municipality.
