The fertilizer, secured through an initiative of the DCE and distributed in collaboration with the Department of Agriculture of the Afadzato South District Assembly, was presented to farmers from various communities.

The intervention is expected to improve soil fertility, increase crop yields and ease the financial burden on farmers in purchasing essential agricultural inputs.

Speaking during the distribution exercise, Hon. Manfred Tawiah highlighted the importance of agriculture to the socio-economic development of the district, noting that supporting farmers with the necessary inputs would increase food production, improve household incomes and strengthen food security.

The Department of Agriculture coordinated the exercise to ensure that the fertilizer reached the targeted farmer groups across the district.

Beneficiary farmers expressed appreciation to the DCE, President John Dramani Mahama and the Afadzato South District Assembly for the timely intervention, describing the support as a significant boost to their farming activities.

Hon. Manfred Tawiah reaffirmed his commitment to working with farmers and relevant stakeholders to strengthen agriculture and make it a key driver of economic growth and development in Afadzato South.
