Gomoa West Commissions New KG Blocks at Simbrofo and Antsiadze-Odumasi

The Gomoa West District has taken another step towards improving early childhood education following the commissioning of new Kindergarten (KG) classroom blocks at Gomoa Simbrofo and Gomoa Antsiadze-Odumasi DA School.

The facilities were commissioned as part of activities marking My First Day at School, during which the District's leadership welcomed pupils back from vacation and officially ushered them into the new academic year.

As part of the exercise, a refurbished KG classroom block at Gomoa Brofo was also handed over to the school community to provide a more conducive environment for early childhood learning and development.

The intervention was accompanied by the presentation of school tables and chairs as well as teaching and learning materials to the beneficiary schools.

The gesture is expected to improve the learning environment for young children while equipping teachers with the basic resources needed to support effective teaching and learning.

The leadership urged teachers and community members to take good care of the facilities and ensure that the newly provided resources are properly maintained for the benefit of current and future pupils.

They also cautioned stakeholders against neglecting minor defects in school infrastructure, stressing the importance of addressing such challenges early before they develop into major and costly problems.

The exercise brought together traditional leaders, teachers, Assembly staff and other stakeholders, who participated in the commissioning and handover activities.

The development forms part of ongoing efforts to improve educational infrastructure across the Gomoa West District and create a strong foundation for the development of children.

The District leadership expressed appreciation to Nananom, teachers, Assembly staff and other stakeholders for their participation and support, stressing that continued collaboration would be essential to advancing the Gomoa West development agenda.
