Kassena-Nankana Municipal Assembly Hands Over 1,010 Pieces of Furniture to Education Directorate

The Kassena-Nankana Municipal Assembly in the Upper East Region has handed over 1,010 pieces of furniture to the Municipal Education Directorate to help address furniture shortages and improve the learning environment in schools across the municipality.

The furniture comprises 450 dual desks, 350 mono desks, 60 hexagonal desks, 50 teacher tables and 100 teacher chairs.

The intervention forms part of the Assembly’s commitment to promoting quality education and ensuring that pupils and teachers have access to a more conducive environment for teaching and learning.

Speaking at the handover, the Assembly emphasised the importance of creating a better learning environment for every child in the Kassena-Nankana Municipality.

The Municipal Education Directorate was charged to ensure the fair and equitable distribution of the furniture to all beneficiary schools based on their needs.

The Assembly reaffirmed its commitment to working with education authorities and other stakeholders to improve educational infrastructure and support quality education delivery across the municipality.
