The gesture, which forms the second phase of his educational support initiative, is aimed at easing the financial burden on parents and guardians as their wards begin their Senior High School education.

The items distributed included plastic chop boxes, exercise books and provisions. In addition, each beneficiary received cash support of GH¢1,500, while the overall best student received GH¢2,000.

Speaking at the presentation ceremony held in Akyem Oda, Hon. Acquah said education remained his top priority and that the initiative formed part of his commitment to investing in the future of the youth in the constituency.

He urged the beneficiaries to take their studies seriously, remain disciplined and make good use of the opportunities provided to them to justify the investment being made in their education.

Some of the beneficiaries who spoke to the media expressed their gratitude to the MP, describing the support as timely and helpful. They said the items and financial assistance would go a long way towards helping them settle into their new schools.

Parents who attended the ceremony also commended Hon. Acquah for his continued support for education in the constituency, saying the initiative would help ease the financial pressure on families.
