Asuogyaman Assembly Commissions Modern School Facilities at Asegya

The Asuogyaman District Assembly, under the leadership of District Chief Executive (DCE) Hon. Godwin Bobobee, has commissioned a newly completed 3-unit classroom block and auxiliary facilities at Asegya (Kudikope) as part of efforts to improve educational infrastructure across the district.

The commissioning formed part of a series of educational projects commissioned by the Assembly to create safe, modern and conducive learning environments for pupils and teachers.

The newly constructed facility is equipped with modern classrooms designed to reduce congestion and provide a more comfortable environment for effective teaching and learning.

Beyond the classrooms, the project includes a 7-seater water closet toilet facility to promote proper sanitation and hygiene among pupils and staff.

The facility also features a Head Teacher’s Office with an attached washroom, as well as a Staff Common Room with washroom facilities, providing improved working conditions for teachers and supporting efficient school administration.

A major highlight of the project is the inclusion of a fully equipped Computer Laboratory, which is expected to strengthen ICT education and equip pupils with essential digital skills needed in an increasingly technology-driven world.

The project further includes a store room for the safe storage and management of teaching and learning materials.

Speaking at the commissioning ceremony, Hon. Godwin Bobobee reaffirmed the Assembly’s commitment to investing in quality education and providing the infrastructure needed to promote academic excellence.

He said modern educational infrastructure remains a key priority of the Assembly, stressing that quality learning environments are essential to improving educational outcomes and expanding opportunities for children across the district.

According to the DCE, education remains a critical pillar of development, and sustained investment in school infrastructure is necessary to nurture the next generation of professionals and leaders.

He assured residents that the Assembly would continue to collaborate with relevant stakeholders to ensure that children across Asuogyaman have access to safe, comfortable and well-equipped learning environments.

The project was fully funded by the District Assemblies Common Fund (DACF).
