Our team travelled to Prang in the Pru West District of the Bono East Region, where the Assemblies of God Church held special services to celebrate biological fathers, mentors, and father figures.
Special Blessings and Recognitions
The celebration featured sermons on godly fatherhood, public recognitions, and a "laying on of hands" ceremony, where church leaders and children gathered around fathers to offer personal spiritual blessings and recite scriptural prayers, including Numbers 6:24–26 and Ephesians 3:16–17.

Guest speakers, including Pastor Joshua Asafo Japah and Men's Fellowship leader Mr Solomon, centred their messages on biblical principles of fatherhood and shared testimonies of fathers who have positively impacted the local community.
The church distributed small token gifts such as customised mugs, Bibles, and snacks to all men in attendance.
Pastor's Strong Call to Responsibility
Pastor Joshua Asafo urged fathers to be more responsible towards their children and wives.

"Bringing a child into this world and being irresponsible will not go unpunished by the Creator," he warned.
He emphasised that men should make their families feel valued and cherished above all others.
"Men are important. Men are pillars. Men are next to God in this world. So men should act responsibly and be leaders—not women," he added.
Social Media Warning
In a striking caution, Pastor Asafo warned church members against posting tributes to others on social media while neglecting their own biological fathers or godly fathers.

"No one should post another person on their WhatsApp status while failing to post their husband, biological father, or godly father," he cautioned.
Community Reflection
Speaking to Ghana Districts, Men's Fellowship leader Mr Solomon said: "This Father's Day, we celebrate the dads and father figures in our church family."
