Harrison Ahotorvi, the Assemblyman for the area, spoke to ghanadistricts.com about the situation, and explained that the rising waters have submerged the residents' homes, forcing them to seek shelter elsewhere.
Currently, the 63 households are seeking refuge in neighboring communities that have not been affected by the lake spillage.
The Assemblyman mentioned that the affected households have received support from the local authorities so far, but that is not enough as there is no end in sight for their predicaments.
The Municipal Chief Executive, Geoffery Badasu, along with the Coordinating Director, have already visited the displaced residents to offer their assistance and support during these difficult times.
Mr. Ahotorvi called on philantropist to come to their aid saying, "Please am appealing to you all to come on board and let's support with clothes, toiletries, Cash anything that will cushion them is acceptable".
Some communities affected by the spillage include; Dafor, Sovie, Agbenorxoe.
