Madam Abena Osei-Asare disclosed that they are going to recommend in their report that approval of an entity's budget should be based on you addressing the recommendations of the committee.
"One other thing that we put out there that we're going to do moving forward is to make sure that we go into a closed session, to prepare our reports. And as part of the reports, we are going to speak with Mr. Speaker and the other committee members and propose that approval of an entity's budget should be based on you addressing the recommendations of the committee.
According to her, when such an initiative is enforced, everybody, or public institutions cited for infractions that need approval from parliament before spending their budget will sit up and address these budget infractions. "And so, I know the Minister for Government Communications is going to cabinet. That is why I related it to him that he should inform his colleague ministers that this is what we intend to do. We must do things differently and to make sure we all encourage people to do the right thing".
