Garkuon CHPS Compound Commissioned

The project, which began in March 2025 and was completed within nine months, comprises a CHPS compound with two staff accommodation units, solar power, a mechanised borehole, essential medical equipment, a second solar-powered mechanised borehole for the Jieyiri community, and a motorbike to support outreach services, with a special focus on maternal and child health.
The total project cost of GHS 1 million was publicly disclosed during the sod-cutting ceremony and implemented transparently in partnership with Aktionskreis Pater Hagen and Rüt’n’Rock Association, with funding support from Schmitz Stiftung, all based in Germany.
HiChale expressed appreciation to the District Health Directorate, traditional authorities, community leadership, security agencies, the media, and all stakeholders who contributed to the successful delivery of the project.
