The facility, which is expected to improve sanitation and hygiene in the community, was commissioned on Sunday, August 30, 2026, at a ceremony attended by traditional leaders, community members, local leaders and other stakeholders.

Residents and community leaders expressed appreciation to the MP for the intervention, describing the project as timely and significant to the health and well-being of the people.

Speaking at the ceremony, Mr Anim said the project formed part of his commitment to improving basic amenities and living conditions in communities across the constituency.

He said the commissioning of the Temate facility came only a few days after a similar sanitary facility was commissioned at Akotosu, with both projects now fully operational and available for use by residents.

According to him, access to proper sanitation remained a challenge in several communities, making it necessary for stakeholders to work together to provide adequate and decent sanitary facilities.

Mr Anim explained that the projects were intended not only to provide physical infrastructure but also to promote good hygiene practices, reduce the risk of sanitation-related diseases and contribute to creating cleaner and healthier communities.

He said his office was implementing the sanitation interventions systematically and would continue to identify communities where such facilities were urgently needed.

The MP disclosed that additional sanitary projects in other communities within the constituency were at various stages of completion and would be commissioned and handed over to beneficiaries once completed.

He urged residents to take ownership of the facility by using it responsibly and ensuring its proper maintenance to prolong its lifespan and enable it to serve the community for many years.

The chiefs and residents of Temate commended Mr Anim for delivering on his commitment to the community and providing a facility that would contribute to improved sanitation and public health.

They pledged to work together to maintain the facility and ensure that it was used for its intended purpose.
