The stakeholder engagement, held at St. John’s Baptist Church, Tantra, provided a platform for residents to express their views, share concerns and highlight pressing development needs requiring the Assembly’s attention.

The meeting was attended by the Municipal Chief Executive (MCE), Hon. Akwetey Agbo, the Municipal Coordinating Director and the Municipal Planning Officer, who interacted with residents on issues affecting their communities.

Key concerns raised during the engagement included the poor state of inner roads, security, building permits, sanitation, street lighting, noise pollution, animal rearing and other matters affecting residents’ welfare.

The engagement offered the Assembly an opportunity to listen directly to the people, understand their challenges and respond to concerns affecting community development.

In response, the Assembly addressed the issues raised and assured residents of its commitment to working towards resolving their concerns.

The initiative forms part of efforts to strengthen collaboration between the Assembly and community members, promote accountability and ensure that residents’ needs are considered in local development planning.

The engagement also underscored the importance of stakeholder participation in promoting sustainable development and improving the quality of life of people within the Ga North Municipality.
