Date Created : 10/20/2026 : Story Author : Mary Ayertey/Ghanadistricts.com
The intervention is aimed at empowering beneficiaries to engage in income-generating activities, expand existing businesses, acquire practical skills and improve their financial stability.
The support is also expected to help reduce economic barriers faced by Persons with Disabilities while promoting dignity, self-reliance and greater participation in community development.

Through the initiative, the Assembly seeks to create more opportunities for PWDs to utilise their abilities, pursue their aspirations and improve their quality of life.
The intervention forms part of the Cape Coast Metropolitan Assembly’s commitment to promoting an inclusive society where Persons with Disabilities have opportunities to contribute meaningfully to the development of the metropolis.

The Assembly continues to emphasise the importance of empowering vulnerable groups through targeted support that promotes economic participation and sustainable livelihoods.
