The Volta Regional Coordinating Council (VRCC) supported the project by providing the building for renovation and refurbishment. The work was made possible through a partnership involving The Hunger Project-Ghana, The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, Ho, Ghana, and the National Ambulance Service.

The refurbished facility is expected to strengthen emergency response coordination and improve the delivery of pre-hospital care across the Volta Region.

Speaking at the ceremony, Hon. James Gunu commended the partner organisations and the VRCC for their contributions towards improving healthcare delivery in the region. He called for proper maintenance and effective utilisation of the facility to enhance emergency medical services and help save lives.

The Regional Minister also urged the public to use the national emergency number, 112, responsibly and to cooperate with ambulance personnel as they carry out their duties.

The ceremony brought together representatives of the partner organisations, the Chief Executive Officer of the National Ambulance Service, regional and local government officials, health professionals, traditional leaders and other dignitaries.

The refurbishment marks an important step towards strengthening emergency healthcare infrastructure and improving access to timely ambulance services across the Volta Region.
