She was endorsed overwhelmingly with 26 votes in favour of her confirmation, representing 92.86%.

Two persons voted No representing 17.41%. The total vote cast was 28.

In her acceptance speech, Faustilove Appiah Kannin thanked the President for reposing trust and confidence in her by nominating her for the position.

She also thanked the Assembly Members for their overwhelming endorsement and promise to work with all as one family to improve the Municipality.

Kannin promised to improve the security situation in the Municipality and also pledge to focus on the Youth development to align with the President resetting agenda. Hon. Appiah Kannin also promised to rekindle sports activities in the Municipality.
