Hohoe Celebrates Tree Planting Initiative in Support of President's Environmental Vision

Hohoe Municipality in the Volta Region has commemorated the 'TreeForLife' initiative on June 5th, 2025.

The event, held in alignment with the President's vision for environmental sustainability, underscored the critical role of tree planting in safeguarding Ghana's natural resources.

A large and diverse group attended, including Mr. Thomas Worlanyo Tsekpo, MP; the Presiding Member; heads of security agencies; traditional leaders; and municipal assembly workers.

The widespread participation highlighted the community's strong commitment to environmental conservation.

The Parks and Gardens department played a key role in the success of the initiative. They made various tree species freely available to the public, facilitating widespread participation in the tree planting effort.

This initiative will continue, ensuring ongoing access to tree seedlings and promoting environmental conservation throughout the municipality.
