Local Government Minister Assesses Performance of Krowor Municipal Assembly During Accountability Tour

The Minister for Local Government, Chieftaincy and Religious Affairs, Ahmed Ibrahim, has engaged the Krowor Municipal Assembly as part of his nationwide Accountability Tour aimed at assessing the performance of Metropolitan, Municipal and District Assemblies (MMDAs) and strengthening local governance.

The engagement session provided an opportunity for the Minister to evaluate ongoing development projects, review service delivery performance, and interact with Assembly officials on key governance and development priorities within the municipality.

Addressing the gathering, Hon. Ahmed Ibrahim reiterated government's commitment to promoting transparency, accountability, and effective decentralisation to ensure that development reaches communities at the grassroots level. He emphasized the importance of prudent resource management, efficient service delivery, and citizen participation in advancing local development.

The Minister commended the leadership of the Krowor Municipal Assembly for its efforts in implementing development initiatives across critical sectors, while encouraging the Assembly to sustain its commitment to responsive governance and improved public service delivery.

The Accountability Tour forms part of the Ministry's broader strategy to strengthen institutional performance, enhance transparency, and ensure that public resources are utilized effectively to improve the living conditions of citizens across the country.
