He made this known when he appeared before Parliament's Local Government and Rural Development Committee, where he presented information on the Assembly's performance and its progress in fulfilling its local governance and development responsibilities.

The 85 per cent score reflects the outcome of the assessment and provides an opportunity for the Assembly to consolidate its efforts towards improving administrative efficiency, accountability and service delivery.

The appearance before the Committee also provided a platform for the MCE to account for the Assembly's performance and engage with members on matters relating to local governance and development.

The achievement is expected to encourage the Assembly to sustain its efforts, strengthen institutional capacity and address areas requiring further attention to improve service delivery and promote development within the municipality.
