Assemblyman constructs toilet facility

Leaders are meant to lead in solving problems; and in the case of the Assemblyman for the Densuakwasu Electoral Area in the West Akim Municipality, Maxwell Sarpong this has been his motivation in serving his people.

And a typical example is his resolve in successfully constructing an 8-seater toilet facility for the Densuakwasu Community worth approximately GHs 40,000.

According to Mr. Sarpong, the community had been facing a lack of toilet facilities and recognizing this pressing issue, he took it upon himself to seek financial assistance from his affluent classmates. Their generous contributions enabled him to undertake the construction of the toilet facility for the benefit of the community.

During an interview with ghanadistricts.com, the assemblyman highlighted the various interventions and initiatives he has implemented since assuming office in the electoral area.

He expressed his optimism about winning the upcoming elections scheduled for December 19, 2023 to represent the people for the second time.

Furthermore, Mr. Sarpong emphasized that he has also constructed three public standpipes in different communities to address their water challenges.

In addition, he has been providing support to children by fulfilling minor school needs such as providing mathematical sets and assisting with feeding.

He specifically mentioned his commitment to assisting students during their Basic Education Certificate Examination (BECE) preparation.

As part of his efforts to ensure the safety of children within the communities, Mr. Sarpong disclosed that he personally financed the employment of a road warden. The road warden's role is to help children cross the streets safely.
