Tracing his roots as a boy born in a two-hut village in a community under the traditional area, Hon. Ayaaba said his long association with the Amantin community has exposed him first hand to the problems of the traditional area and promised to work hard to leave a legacy that will benefit future generations in the municipality.

Hon. Ayaaba pledged to prioritize education, agriculture, health and sanitation among others adding that he will work closely with the traditional authorities who he described as ‘partners in development’ to help solve problems facing the people.

The Omanhene of the Amantin traditional area and President of the council Osabarima Appau Bonsie Bonsu II urged the MCE to ensure fairness in the allocation of development projects and programmes in the municipality.

Whiles assuring him of the support of his council, the Omanhene reminded Hon. Ayaaba that reaching higher heights politically in future will depend on his conduct in his current position and admonished him against the tendency to turn his back on his party executives.

Various speakers from the traditional council had earlier enumerated problems facing the community which include mounting refuse dumps, overloaded transformers resulting in erratic power supply and issues with a bridge under an ongoing World Bank project to which the MCE promised to help resolve.

Present were high ranking officials from the municipal assembly and constituency executives of the ruling National Democratic Congress.
