Solomon Brako Kusi Commissions DACF-Funded Projects to Boost Education and Healthcare in Birim Central
The Municipal Chief Executive (MCE) for Birim Central Municipality, Hon. Solomon Brako Kusi, has reaffirmed his administration’s commitment to accelerating development across the municipality following the commissioning of several District Assemblies Common Fund (DACF)-funded projects.

The commissioning ceremony, held yesterday, was attended by the Eastern Regional Minister, Rita Akosua Adjei Awatey, alongside traditional leaders, government officials, health and education authorities, political party executives, students, youth groups and other stakeholders.
Among the dignitaries present were the Krontihene of the Akyem Kotoku Traditional Area, Nana Dr. Gyamfi Saforo Kyere, the Zongo Chief, the Catholic Head of Our Lady of Fatima Catholic Church, the Municipal Director of Education, the Municipal Director of Health, the Medical Superintendent, the Presiding Member, the Municipal Coordinating Director, Assembly Members and Heads of Institutions.
Speaking at the event, Hon. Solomon Brako Kusi described the occasion as a major milestone in the municipality’s development agenda, stressing that the projects reflect the assembly’s dedication to improving education, healthcare and infrastructure within the area.

The projects commissioned include a three-unit classroom block at Frempong Manso R/C JHS, a Health Centre at Community Six, an Operating Theatre attached to the Maternity Ward at Oda Government Hospital, and an L-shaped Kindergarten block at SDA School.
According to the MCE, the successful completion of the projects within just one year in office demonstrates the assembly’s determination to deliver meaningful development that directly impacts the lives of residents.
He also expressed gratitude to President John Dramani Mahama for his leadership and vision, while commending the Eastern Regional Minister for her continuous support toward the municipality’s progress.
Hon. Solomon Brako Kusi further acknowledged the contributions of traditional authorities, contractors and all stakeholders whose efforts ensured the successful execution of the projects.
He assured residents that the assembly remains committed to collaborating with all partners to promote sustainable development, improve livelihoods and build a stronger and more resilient municipality.
