The handover marks a significant milestone in the Assembly's efforts to strengthen healthcare delivery and address the growing healthcare needs of the municipality.

The polyclinic is expected to reduce the need for residents to travel long distances to access medical care while improving primary and secondary healthcare services and also support early detection and treatment of illnesses, maternal and child healthcare, preventive healthcare and health education.

The Municipal Chief Executive (MCE) Hon. George Kpakpo Allotey said the completion and handover of the polyclinic represent an important investment in the health and wellbeing of residents, with expectations that the facility will improve healthcare accessibility and service delivery across the municipality.

The ceremony was chaired by Nii Kanfran II, Gbegbeyise Mantse, and attended by the Member of Parliament, representatives of the Greater Accra Regional Health Directorate, Assembly Members, NDC party executives, traditional authorities, community members and other stakeholders.

As part of activities marking the handover, the Municipal Health Directorate organised a free health screening exercise, offering residents basic health checks and professional medical advice.
