Ohempon Yeboah Ashiamah pledges support for Atebubu-Amantin MCE

The Omanhene of the Atebubu traditional area Ohempon Dr. Yeboah Asiamah has pledged his unflinching support for the Atebubu-Amantin municipal chief executive Hon. Thomas Masud Musah Ayaaba.

He made this statement when the MCE paid a courtesy call on him and other members of the traditional council to formally introduce himself and seek their blessings in his new role.

The Omanhene expressed the displeasure of the Traditional Council on some issues that arose in the run-up to the nomination of the MCE and called for circumspection especially in the utterances of constituency executives for the sake of peace.

Whiles commending Hon. Ayaaba for his initial strides towards development he promised to work hand-in –hand with the municipal assembly to ensure the development of the traditional area.

The chiefs identified dysfunctional streetlights, armed robbery, potholes on the Ejura-Atebubu-Yeji highway and the non-functional fire tender of the Ghana National Fire Service as some pressing issues facing the municipality.

Hon. Ayaaba had earlier sought the collaborative support of the traditional council in efforts to leave a lasting legacy by the end of his tenure.

He promised to leverage the good relationship among himself, the Member of Parliament, the regional minister and the traditional council to make inroads in the provision of water and improvement in security adding that he will work hard to ensure that the municipality becomes one of the cleanest in the region.

The MCE disclosed plans to construct a number of school buildings and CHPS compounds this year to boost education and healthcare delivery in the municipality.

Present were high ranking officials from the assembly as well as constituency executive of the ruling party.
